IPTV on Apple TV, iPhone and iPad
Apple devices are a great fit for IPTV: the App Store has many player apps, and an iPhone can send the picture to your TV with AirPlay. Here is how to set up Nagare on each of them.
Choose a player from the App Store
Search the App Store for an IPTV player that supports Xtream Codes login. Many players work on iPhone, iPad and Apple TV with the same purchase, and some sync your settings between devices through iCloud.
Nagare does not make these apps. Check the description to see which devices are supported and whether there is a subscription or one-time price.
Set up on iPhone or iPad
- Install the player from the App Store and open it.
- Add a new playlist or profile and choose the Xtream Codes option.
- Enter the server address with http:// and the port, then your username and password.
- Save. Use Wi-Fi when you can, because HD streaming uses a lot of mobile data.
Set up on Apple TV
For the most stable picture, connect the Apple TV to your router with a network cable if your model has an Ethernet port.
- On the Apple TV, open the App Store and search for your player.
- Install and open it, then add an Xtream Codes profile.
- Type your details with the Siri Remote, or use your iPhone keyboard when the "Apple TV Keyboard" notification appears.
- Wait for the channel list to load.
Use profiles
Many players let you create several profiles, for example one per family member, with their own favourites. All profiles share the same login, so they still count against the connections in your plan when they stream at the same time.
Stream to your TV with AirPlay
If your TV supports AirPlay, or you have an Apple TV, you can start a channel on your iPhone and tap the AirPlay icon to show it on the big screen. Not every player app supports AirPlay, and some only send audio, so check the app first. Installing the player directly on Apple TV usually gives the smoothest result.
