How to set up IPTV on an Amazon FireStick
The Amazon Fire TV Stick is one of the easiest ways to watch IPTV: it plugs into any TV with HDMI, it is quick, and its remote is simple. Here is how to get Nagare running on it.
What you need
- An Amazon Fire TV Stick or Fire TV Cube, signed in to your Amazon account.
- Your Nagare login details: server address, port, username and password.
- A stable internet connection. For 4K, a Fire TV model that supports 4K and a 4K TV.
Install an IPTV player from the Amazon Appstore
We recommend apps from the Amazon Appstore, which are checked by Amazon. Nagare does not make these apps and is not affiliated with them.
- On the Fire TV home screen, open Find, then Search.
- Search for an IPTV player that supports Xtream Codes login.
- Select the app, then Get or Download.
- Open the app when it has been installed. To find it later, open Your Apps & Channels.
Log in with your Nagare details
Tip: the Fire TV app on your phone works as a remote with a real keyboard, which makes typing long addresses much faster.
- Choose the Xtream Codes login in the player.
- Enter the server address with http:// and the port, for example http://server-address:8080.
- Enter your username and password. The on-screen keyboard is case-sensitive.
- Save and wait for the channel list to load.
Wi-Fi or Ethernet?
The FireStick connects by Wi-Fi out of the box. For the most stable picture, keep it close to the router, use the 5 GHz network, or add an Ethernet adapter so it connects by cable.
If the stick sits behind the TV and Wi-Fi is weak, the HDMI extender that comes in the box can move it a few centimetres away from the TV and improve reception.
Keep it running smoothly
- Restart the stick now and then: Settings, then My Fire TV, then Restart.
- Uninstall apps you no longer use to free up storage.
- Install system updates when Fire TV offers them.
